On 4th September, 2023, inaugural programme for Integration of CHILDLINE HELPLINE -1097 & WOMEN HELPLINE -181, WCD Control Room with Emergency Response Support Sytem-112 was held at the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board Office.

The programme was graced by Smt. Martha Ritse, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of Social Welfare and Mission Director, Mission Vatsalya.

In her speech, the Chief Guest, Smt. Martha R. Ritse, congratulated all the newly appointed staff of Childline. She urged the staff to give their best while handling cases and carrying out their responsibilities with politeness and courtesy. She also mentioned that, as the nodal department for protection of child and women’s rights, the Department of Social Welfare has always taken care of gender-based violence. She also highlighted the functioning and working systems of the child helpline and the women’s helpline.

Introduction to Automation on ChildHelpLine (CHL)-1098 and Integration with ERCC-112 was presented by Shri. Ajay V, project manager, C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing). C-DAC is the premier R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT, electronics, and associated areas.

The welcome address was delivered by Smt. Bodeno S. Colo, Assistant Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of Social Welfare, while the keynote address was delivered by Smt. Tosheli Zhimoni, Director, Department of Social Welfare, and member secretary, SCPS, Mission Vatsalya.

Childine, which formerly functioned under an NGO, will now be under the Department of Social Welfare under Mission Vatsalya.
