The event was a fusion of inspiration, hope, and commitment to education.

Colonel Rahul Gurung delivered a motivational speech, emphasizing the students’ role as the future of India. He encouraged them to dream big, work tirelessly, and stay focused, citing examples like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Narendra Modi, and Mukesh Ambani, who rose to great heights through dedication and hard work. Colonel Gurung urged students to embrace their privileges and strive for success, highlighting that the only “losers” are those who doubt themselves.

Tiatemjen, Chairman of Akhoya Village Council, welcomed the guests and expressed hopes that the Computer Lab would empower students with essential digital skills.

Subrata Baruah, the Principal of S.J.S., emphasized the school’s commitment to holistic education, including digital literacy. He stressed the importance of computer knowledge in today’s digital world, heralding the lab’s inauguration as a significant step towards this goal.

M.T. Among, VCM, lauded the Assam Rifles for their valuable contributions to Akhoya village and the school, highlighting unity, friendship, and cooperation as essential elements of their support.

Takowati, the Proprietor of S.J.S., shared his passion for education and his family’s dedication to the school. He expressed happiness at providing computers to learners and encouraged responsible computer usage.

The event was chaired by Aküminla, a teacher at S.J.S., and featured the school anthem sung by S.J.S. students. K. Mangyang, VCM, presented an ode to Colonel Rahul Gurung, and Chubakokla LKR, Headmistress of S.J.S., delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks.
