http://www.nokinketer.com: The Mokokchung District Volleyball Association is set to organise the 16th edition of the Imchaba Masters Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy from September 19–22 at the Multi-purpose Sports Complex, Mokokchung.

Lakhi Longkumer, convenor of the organising committee, informed the media through a press statement that the 16th edition will see 19 teams eyeing the coveted trophy. Celebrated as one of the most awaited trophies in the game of volleyball, this year’s champion will walk away with a cash prize of INR 80,000 with a running trophy and certificates, while the first runner-up will be awarded a cash prize of INR 50,000 along with certificates, and the third and fourth runner-up will be awarded a cash prize of INR 30000 and INR 20000, respectively. Individual awards will also be given.

Chienino Brothers, Kiruphema, Archippus Club, Dimapur, United Changki, G-Sports, Mokokchung, Ozümi Volleyball Team, Mongsenbai, and Rongpang Club, Tsürangkong, will be the new entrants to the tournament. The inaugural function will be held on September 19 from 10:00 a.m. onwards with Col. Rahul Gurung, Kirti Chakra, Commandant, 12 Assam Rifles, Mokokchung, as the inaugural patron.

The first match of the tournament will be played between Spartan Club, Lakhuni, and Chienino Brothers, Kiruphema, Kohima.
