Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji, has issued a travel advisory to all concerned that, in view of the major damage caused to the Bailey Bridge at KM 12 along NH 202 (between Ungma and Longsa), the movement of all types of vehicles along the stated route or across the bridge is restricted with immediate effect. The concerned department is in the process of initiating repair works, and pending their completion, the total restriction on the movement of vehicles along the aforesaid route shall remain enforced. This is for general information and strict compliance. Non-compliance shall invite penal action as per the relevant section of the law.

Travellers to and from neighbouring districts like Tuensang, Shamator, and Noklak are advised to take the following alternative routes:

  1. New Sangsomong, Yehemi, Atoizu, and Doyang
  2. Mokokcung, Chuchuyimlang, Longmisa, Alisopur, Trongar, and NH 202
  3. Mokokchung, Dikhu, and Chare (shortcut)
