Mokokchung, December 18: The 3rd edition of the Melityongpang Badminton Tournament concluded on December 16 after commencing on December 14. Organized by Melityongpang Badminton, Marepkong, the event took place at the Melityongpang Badminton Court.

In the junior category, Shuttlers and Stokers were declared the winners and Runners-Up respectively while in the Senior Category, Chomp & Stomp and 2011 were declared as winners and Runners-Up respectively. Meyanuksung and Otongdang were recognized as the Most Promising Player and Player of the Tournament, respectively.

Taliangshi, President of Melityongpang Badminton, Marepkong, highlighted that this was the third edition of the tournament organized by their 11-member group. He expressed their commitment to identifying and supporting young players, emphasizing their goal to nurture talent and address financial barriers that some families face in participating in such events. Taliangshi acknowledged the financial investment from their group and contributions from various families, individuals, and well-wishers, expressing hope that the tournament would contribute to the development of skilled players.
