Therefore, he challenged all, especially the students’ community, to become a better versions of ourselves to bring a transformation in the society.

Speaking about the economic scenario of the society, Temjenmenba said that the world is changing in a very fast manner with artificial intelligence revolutionizing the world society. In this fast changing world, a time might come when the mineral resources in the Jangpetkong range would also have to be exploited for economic growth. He wondered whether the minerals like petroleum could be substituted by alternative energy sources in the near future. He urged the students to ponder upon that aspect also. Nonetheless, Temjenmenba asserted that the natural resources will have to be exploited in the near future which will lead to economic growth.

In this regard, he cautioned that with such economic growth will bring more people from outside and it will also bring about a change in the culture through intermarriages of different races of people. Therefore, he asked the students to be prepared for such a scenario where our culture and traditions are preserved. He particularly highlighted the rich Naga values of respect and love for each other; our language, cultures handed down from our foreparents and our faith in God which should be preserved at all costs. He said that such values if preserved and practiced, then our society would become a self-respecting society.

“Transforming our society depends on you and me, so let us not forget the values of our forebears and not forget our God,” the MLA & Advisor told the students.

In this regard, he said that while aspiring for a government job is a good; but, pursuing jobs in the private sector is also very important. Therefore, he called for skill-upgradation and hard work among the youth. He also called for a change in mindset and take informed decisions.
