A coaching institute, ‘Shisalen Riju’, to provide free coaching classes with a special focus on NPSC and NSSB exams under the initiative of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Mokokchung, and sponsored through the common pool under LADP, was officially inaugurated on February 19, 2024, at Tzusapang, Mokokchung, by Shri. Metsubo Jamir, Honourable Minister, RD and SIRD, Government of Nagaland, as the Special Guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Special Guest expressed his happiness over this remarkable initiative undertaken by DPDB, Mokokchung, to run this institute and stressed that all stakeholders should shoulder equal responsibilities to achieve the vision. He expressed hope that, unlike other coaching institutions, this institute will be objective-oriented and will prove to be a boon to all NPSC and NSSB aspirants. Considering the crucial role played by teachers, he urged them to know their responsibility and their values in building lives and also expressed the need for the teachers to keep themselves updated and well equipped in their respective fields of teaching and learning. The special guest also advised the aspiring students to develop a good attitude, know the value of life, and understand that failures are the stepping stones to success.
The programme was chaired by Shri P. Tiatemsu, Asst. Prof., FAC, and a member of the Shisalen Riju Management Committee, while ADC and Convenor, Shisalen Riju Management Committee, Chumlamo Humtsoe, delivered the welcome address. Short speeches were also spoken by Shri Tongpang Ozukum, Honourable Advisor, Water Resources, Govt. of Nagaland and Chairman, DPDB, Chairman, Mokokchung Village Council, and Rev.Dr. Prof. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM. Dr. Sentitula IFS, DFO, Mokokchung, proposed the vote of thanks, while Rev. W. Supong, Pastor, Tzusapang Baptist Church, offered the dedicatory prayer.
