The Computer Education Centre (CEC) branch, named “CEC Mokokchung Centre,” was launched today at Toshikaba Ki, Opp. to Nayara Petrol Pump Sewak Gate, Mongsenbai Ward, Mokokchung.
The centre aims to provide a Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) course for 6 months with a course fee of ₹6,000. It has a total of 30 computers, all equipped with internet connectivity via a Wi-Fi network.
Takowati, pastor of Ungma Baptist Church, inaugurated the centre and delivered a dedicatory prayer. He emphasised the importance of certified computer training, noting its relevance to competitive exams and professional development, especially for individuals with diverse educational backgrounds.
The two proprietors, Zulumanen Jamir and Shiluzenba Imsong, both from Ungma Village, were commended for their initiative in establishing the centre. They were encouraged to maintain trustworthiness and diligence in their endeavours.
Proprietor Zulumanen Jamir stated that they felt the need for such a centre in the area, although he noted that there are centres in the main town offering computer courses. He mentioned that they have initiated this after considering location factors and the population of the booming market area at Mongsenbai ward in the trijunction of NH 02, NH 202, and NH 702D.
Zulumanen Jamir, 32 years old, is a young entrepreneur from Ungma village who completed his Master’s in Geography from Nagaland University, Lumami, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Geography at NU. He has been involved in business and entrepreneurship since his early 20s, when he was in college.
He also added that there are two experienced trainers: Limatongzuk Jamir, a BBA graduate from Dimapur, also certified in computer courses, with experience teaching computer courses in a reputed school, and Sakumeren, a civil engineering graduate from LDCE Ahmedabad, Gujarat, experienced in Basic AutoCAD, V-Ray, SketchUp, Photoshop, and STAAD Pro. Both of them have volunteered to contribute their time and knowledge to train the learners.
Proprietor Shiluzenba Imsong stated that the Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) course, which is a 6-month course, will start initially, with plans to introduce other courses later. He emphasised that the training centre is open to all enthusiastic learners and encouraged interested individuals to collect admission forms at the provided address or contact 8730887160 or 8730887310 during office hours. He informed me that there will be two sessions: the morning session starting at 10:00 a.m. and the evening session at 2:00 p.m.
Shiluzenba Imsong, 34 years old, is a postgraduate in sociology from Nagaland University, and this is his first venture into entrepreneurship. He looks forward to gaining significant experience.
