Mokokchung, May 28, 2024: Addl. Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and RO from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe NCS, have issued notice for nominations to the Mokokcung Municipal Council (MMC) for the District of Mokokchung. The notice hereby states that The election is to be held for a member of Ward No. 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11.
12, 14, 15, 17, and 18 of the Mokokchung Town Municipality, with Ward Nos. 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, and 16 reserved for women.

Nomination papers may be delivered by the candidate or his proposer to the Office Chamber of the Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, or to: SDO (C) Mokokchung, Abeinuo Jasmine Ashai, and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Mokokchung.
Municipal Council and EAC, Kobulong, Seyievilie Pfukri, and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Mokokchung Municipal Council at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on any day (other than a public holiday) from June 7, 2024 (Friday) onwards, but not later than June 11, 2024 (Tuesday), up to 3:00 p.m. Forms of Nominations Papers may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid. The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny. 

on June 13, 2024 (Thursday) at the office of the ADC (Hq) and RO Mokokcung Municipal Council from
11:00 a.m. onwards.

A notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate, his proposer, or his election agent (who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the office specified in paragraph (2) above before 3:00 PM on June 18, 2024 (Tuesday).

In the event that the election is contested, the poll will be taken on June 26, 2024 (Wednesday) between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM at the place of Mokokchung.
