
As received from the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mokokcung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has informed all concerned about the revised objectives and application process for the “Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme.”
The primary objectives of the Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme is to provide financial assistance to patients from Schedule Castes (SC) and Schedule Tribes (ST) communities suffering from severe ailments that require costly medical interventions.
This includes surgeries for kidney, heart, liver, cancer, brain, and other life-threatening diseases, including organ transplants and spinal surgeries.
Eligibility Criteria: Income limit: The family income of the applicant must not exceed Rs. 3,00,000 (three lakhs) per annum.
The Application Process: The applicants can apply for the scheme by either: 1. Post-submitting the prescribed application form or a plain paper application detailing the prescribed pro-forma available on the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) website. To apply, gather the necessary documentation and submit your application following the instructions provided on the DAF website.
