Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has issued a travel advisory for all concerned that, in view of the massive landslides and rockfalls that have occurred along the ongoing widening of the existing single-lane to intermediate land road between Mokokchung and Chare via Dikhu, which pose a threat to the safety of commuters and onsite workers, there will be complete closure of vehicular movements along the said stretch of the highway w.e.f. the issue of this order until the end of monsoon season or further notice.

In a travel advisory, DC Mokokchung has advised travellers from Mokokchung to Chare and vice versa to take the alternative route Sewak Gate-Moalenden-Meyilong-Chare.
