Akashvani Mokokchung, India’s public service broadcaster under Prasar Bharati, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm at its office premises on August 15, 2024. The day’s festivities commenced at 7:00 am with the hoisting of the national flag by Shri Sanjay Srivastava, Assistant Engineer and Head of Engineering.
Students from Queen Mary Higher Secondary School attended the flag-hoisting ceremony, adding to the patriotic spirit. The event was graced by the presence of all staff members, led by Shir Habemo Ngullie, PEX, HoP, Akashvani Mokokchung. The engineering sections, casual assignees, and ex-employees of Akashvani also joined in, making the program a resounding success.
The celebration was a testament to the unity and dedication of the Akashvani Mokokchung team, who came together to honor the nation’s independence and sovereignty.
