On 30th August 2024, a team of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Mokokchung, led by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, and Sr. Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, visited the landslide area at NH 202 (Mokokchung-Tuensang), which is 14 km away from Mokokchung. Travellers and goods-laden trucks were stranded for the last five days. The team provided immediate relief to the drivers of more than 60 goods-laden trucks.
