The First Rain Foundation, in collaboration with MITA, The Ant, organised the first mental health camp at the Sangtemla Multipurpose Hall, Mokokchung, on August 9, 2025.
The Sangtemla Ward Council generously provided the hall free of charge, a contribution that played a key role in making the camp possible. First Rain and its partners aim to make mental health care more accessible while also promoting openness and community support.
The camp saw attendance from 21 individuals. Consultations were provided by two psychiatrists, one medical doctor, and one counsellor and supported by 12 volunteers.
The mental health camp will be held on the second Saturday of every month, with the next session scheduled for September 13, 2025, at the same venue. The camp will begin at 9:00 AM. The fee for consultation as well as medication for 1 month is Rs. 500/- only.
