Mokokchung, 07-November, 2025 (www.nokinketer.in): The Office of the Director General of Police, Kohima, has informed that in continuation of the advertisement issued by the office of the Director General of Police, Nagaland, vide No. PHQ(B-1)1/Recruitment/constable/2023/Dtaed30/09/2025, Dimapur, Chumoukedima, and Niuland districts together have been allotted 144 posts of constable (GD) for recruitment and placed under the “open competition category” for all the indigenous tribes of Nagaland.

The above matter has been further reconsidered by the government, and it has now been decided, as conveyed vide Home Department letter, NO.POL/ESTT/RECRUITMENT/1/202 (PT-VII) Dated: Kohima, the 3rd November 2025, to allocate the 144 posts for Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland districts amongst the indigenous Naga tribes of Nagaland as per the tribal ratio based on the available 2011 census data for the indigenous Naga tribes of Nagaland in the erstwhile Dimapur District.

The allocation of posts for each of the Indigenous Naga Tribes of Nagaland for Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland Districts combined, and the rest of the districts will be uploaded for information of all concerned at Nagaland Police Recruitment Portal and the Department’s website, https://police.nagaland.gov.in, respectively. Further in continuation of paragraph at Serial No. 6 (G) (ii) of the advertisement dated 30/09/25, the break-up of the total posts for male and female will also be indicated in the same table/chart as stated above.

The applicants applying for recruitment for the post in Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland districts should be residents of these districts and should have all their supporting documents, like the Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, the Scheduled Tribe Certificate, etc., issued by the concerned district authorities, not below the rank of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur/Chumoukedima/Niuland as the case may be.

In view of the above modifications being brought in, an option for changing the applied district in the Nagaland Police Recruitment Portal is being incorporated for candidates who have earlier applied for Dimapur/Chumoukedima/Nuiulnd districts. They can now reapply in case it is required in some other districts/respective native districts from 8th November 2025. Then the candidate may log in during the allotted period using his/her already registered mobile number for making the required changes, and a revised admit card will be generated.

Further, the closing date for filling the online application forms is extended by 15 (fifteen) days, i.e., w.e.f. 08.11.2025 to 22.11.2025.

Besides, the above-stated modifications and other contents/guidelines issued earlier vide advertisement dated 30/09/2025 will remain the same.
