Mokokchung, 11th November, 2025 (www.nokinketer.in): To facilitate ease of doing business in the state, the Commissioner of Taxes has informed that the State Taxes Department, Nagaland, has developed application software for registration and payment of professions tax.

The application software for registration has been rolled out w.e.f. 1st October, 2025, and is made available on the department’s website, http://www.nagalandtax.nic.in, for access by all concerned.

Therefore, all individuals liable for registration and payment of Professions Tax are directed to get themselves registered or enrolled, as the case may be.

The website will provide the step-by-step process flow for registration and enrolment, the class of person, the applicable rate of Professions Tax, and helpdesk information for assistance and guidance.
