
Mokokchung, 19-Nov-2025 (www.nokinketer.com): The Department of Art & Culture is all set for the Hornbill Festival 2025 with the theme “Cultural Connect”. The following activities shall be taken up by the Department from 1st to 10th December 2025.
Daily Cultural Performances (A Cultural Extravaganza) at the main arena. 18 (eighteen) cultural troupes from within the state will be arriving soon to showcase their lively folk dances & songs, indigenous games, demonstrations of rituals and folk dramas, etc. in their colourful traditional attires.
The Artists’ Corner/Art Fair at the World War II Museum Premises, Kisama. Activities include the Art Show, Transaction of Art, Artist Talk/Presentation, Art Pavilion Exhibition, Art Market & Artisan Booths, Art Demonstrations, Interactive Workshops, Art Installation, Art Battles and Cultural Art Show.
The Archives Branch will organize an Archival Exhibition Title “First 50 Years of British Administration in Naga Hills”. Departmental publications based on research documentation, monographs of historians, dictionaries of some local communities, Naga customary practices and usages, archaeological publications, etc. will be available for book lovers in the Exhibition Hall at the World War II Complex.
A must-visit place to see, understand and experience the historic event is the World War II Museum, Kisama, where war relics and artefacts are on display. The museum will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The State Museum, Kohima, will be opened to all the public on all working days from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
