In view of the partial clearance of the landslide debris on NH 702, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokcung, Thsuvisie Poji, issued a travel advisory on June 26, 2023, stating that light motor vehicles (LMV) are now allowed to pass through Changtongya to Longleng Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with immediate effect. The drivers of such vehicles are advised to exercise utmost caution while passing through the affected area and avoid taking this route at times of bad weather, fog, or heavy rainfall. They are also advised not to halt, stop, or park their vehicles in and around the landslide-affected area in order not to risk their and their co-passenger’s lives. (www.nokinketer.com)
