
Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) organised a farewell programme in honour of Engineer-in-Chief Er. K. Imnajungba and Chief Engineer (National Highways) Er. T. Sao Sangtam at the NPWD Conference Hall, Kohima, on June 30.
The programme was attended by senior officers, heads of various NPWD branches and departmental staff.
In their farewell addresses, Er. Imnajungba and Er. Sao Sangtam expressed gratitude to their colleagues for their support throughout their careers. They encouraged young officers to continue serving with sincerity, dedication and commitment for the welfare of the people.
Reflecting on their years of service, the outgoing officers shared their experiences and achievements despite the many challenges they encountered. They urged engineers to remain steadfast in their commitment to delivering quality public service.
Highlighting the importance of faith, they also stressed the value of sincere prayer, advising younger engineers that their accomplishments were made possible through God’s guidance and blessings.
Senior officers who spoke on the occasion lauded the retirees for their exemplary leadership, professionalism and significant contributions to the department, describing them as capable, dynamic and among the most instrumental officers in NPWD.
The programme concluded with the presentation of mementoes to the outgoing officers in recognition of their decades of dedicated service, leadership and invaluable contributions to the department.
