Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (Nagaland News): The Department of School Education has informed all concerned that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with MyGov, is organising a nationwide poster-making competition for school students on the theme of heatwave safety.

According to a notification, the competition, themed “Stay Cool, Stay Safe”, will remain open until July 15, 2026. The competition aims to raise awareness among students on heatwave preparedness and safety through creative expression.

Cash prizes of ₹50,000, ₹30,000, and ₹20,000 will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners respectively.

The department informed that detailed guidelines and participation details are available on the official websites of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and MyGov.

The Department has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs), Senior Sub-Divisional Education Officers (Sr. SDEOs), and Sub-Divisional Education Officers (SDEOs) to issue necessary instructions to all government and private schools under their jurisdiction, including CBSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, to encourage maximum participation by students.
