Mokokchung, 3rd November 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Mokokchung District Administration has imposed traffic restrictions on the Asetkong-Tsusangra road in view of the repair and restoration of Longpong Bridge at 27.00 km chainage.
According to an order issued by Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, heavy vehicles weighing above 8 metric tonnes (MT) will be completely restricted from plying along the affected stretch with immediate effect, from November 4 to December 2, 2026.
The order further stated that light vehicles will also be restricted from plying along the stretch from November 4 to 17, 2026, to facilitate the repair and restoration works.
The restrictions have been imposed to ensure the smooth execution of the bridge repair works and the safety of commuters.
