
Mokokchung, 27th April, 2026 (nokinketernews): The National Health Mission (NHM), under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, launched the “ASHA Connect” app at the IDSP Conference Hall, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima, on April 24, 2026.
ASHA Connect is a web-based application to enhance the efficiency, transparency and accountability of Accredited Social Health Activists’ (ASHAs) incentive disbursements and performance monitoring across the state.
The ASHA Connect app is expected to greatly speed up incentive payments, make financial transactions clearer, improve the tracking of ASHA activities, and provide accurate real-time data, which will help ensure accountability at all levels.
The ASHA Connect App was officially launched by Anoop Khinchi, the Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department. The program was chaired by Dr. Keveduyi Theyo, Mission Director, NHM, and a brief overview of the app was given by Dr. Thomas Keppen, Deputy Director, NHM, and the program concluded with remarks delivered by Dr. Mereninla Senlem, Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, Kohima.
