Mokokchung, 11th June, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) has announced the names of players shortlisted from various clubs, tournaments and areas to attend the trial selection for the district team that will represent Mokokchung in the forthcoming 25th Edition (Silver Jubilee) Inter-District Dr. T. Ao Championship Tournament 2026. According to a press release issued by MDFA Joint Secretary (Coordination), Media & Publicity, Imnawapang, the three-day trial selection will be held from July 1 to 3, 2026, at Ungma Rumpo Turf.

Players have been shortlisted from Charges FC, Doyang Strikers, Team Gilgal, Super Seniors FC, Sports Society Soyim, Sangpang Riju FC, Intermingle Club, Telongjem Club, Thunderbolt FC, Mokokchung Inter-Ward Football Tournament, Langpangkong Tournament, Dimapur Area and outstation players.

The association has directed all selected players to report at the residence of the MDFA Treasurer on July 1 at 10:00 am. Players have also been asked to bring their own playing kits for the trials.

MDFA informed that the selection process aims to identify the best possible squad to represent the district in Nagaland’s premier inter-district football championship.
