Kohima, 6th October 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Nagaland Government has adopted the Jeevan Pramaan – Digital Life Certificate system for pensioners, enabling them to submit life certificates online for the continued disbursement of pensions.

Chief Secretary Nagaland Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, issued a notification following the onboarding of the Jeevan Pramaan system by the State Government.

Under the new system, a digital Life Certificate generated through the Jeevan Pramaan portal, using the pensioner’s Aadhaar and Pension Payment Order (PPO) number, will be accepted for pensioners drawing their pension through the Government of Nagaland.

The digital certificate will be verified through Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and will be treated as a valid Life Certificate.

The Pension Disbursing Agency can access the certificate through the official [Jeevan Pramaan portal] (https://www.jeevanpramaan.gov.in/?utm_source=chatgpt.com), eliminating the need for pensioners to appear personally or submit a separate Life Certificate issued by a competent authority.

The facility will also cover pensioners of other State Governments and the Central Government who draw their pension through the Government of Nagaland.
