Mangkolemba, 4th November 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mangkolemba, Moakumzuk Tzudir, has declared the proposed general shutdown called by the CSO Mangkolemba on November 5 as unauthorized, directing all government offices, educational institutions, banking services and commercial establishments to remain open and function normally.
In an order, the ADC stated that the CSO Mangkolemba, through a letter dated November 3, had announced a public meeting and general shutdown in Mangkolemba town from 9:00 am on November 5, with closure of business establishments, schools and offices.
The order stated that the CSO had neither sought nor obtained prior written permission from the competent authority, rendering the shutdown call unauthorized and without legal standing.
It further warned that any individual, group or organisation found enforcing a forced closure, obstructing public movement or violating the order would face strict legal action under relevant provisions of the law.
