Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Government of Nagaland, Daochier I. Imchen, was called upon by officials of the Department of Information & Public Relations (IPR) at his official residence in Kohima today.

At the outset, Commissioner and Secretary, IPR, Orenthung Lotha, IAS, and Director, IPR, Dzüvinuo Theünuo, congratulated him on his victory in the Nagaland by-election from the Koridang Assembly Constituency. Both the Additional Head of Department (AHoD) and Head of Department (HoD) apprised him of the department’s ongoing projects and activities, and assured him of their full support and cooperation under his leadership as the department’s Advisor.

Imchen thanked the officials and described the occasion as “more of a homecoming,” noting that his late father had held the same departments until his demise. He expressed gratitude to the department’s officials for standing by him during this extraordinary situation and appealed to those present to continue extending their support and guidance to his leadership. He also requested the department to expedite the projects and activities initiated during his father’s time in order to keep his legacy and memories alive.
