Thursday, June 11, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Directorate of School Education has informed that the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), under the Ministry of Education, provides educational opportunities through Open and Distance Learning, particularly for girls, rural youth, working individuals, SC/STs, BPL families, sportspersons, differently-abled learners and other disadvantaged groups.

NIOS conducts Secondary (Class X) and Senior Secondary (Class XII) public examinations twice a year, in April and October, besides On-Demand Examinations (ODEs).

Students who were unsuccessful in the Class X and XII examinations are eligible to appear in the Oct/Nov 2026 public examinations under Stream-2 and may also avail the ODE facility under Stream-3 (Class X) and Stream-4 (Class XII) from June to September 2026.

Details regarding admission procedures, fees and guidelines are available at NIOS Student Information Management System. Students, parents and guardians have been encouraged to make use of the opportunity to continue their education.
