Kohima, 2nd October 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Department of Technical Education, Nagaland, has invited eligible students to apply for the State Technical Scholarship (STS) 2026–27, with the online application portal opening from October 1 to December 31, 2026.
The scholarship is available to indigenous Scheduled Tribe (ST) students pursuing Diploma, Degree or Master’s-level technical courses recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the Council of Architecture (COA).
Applicants must belong to families with an annual income not exceeding Rs 8 lakh, supported by an income certificate issued by the competent authority of the district administration.
Eligible students are required to submit their applications online through the Nagaland Common Scholarship Portal.
The department has advised applicants to take note of several mandatory requirements while applying.
Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for the scholarship application. Applicants must also register on DigiLocker before submitting their applications. In addition, their bank accounts must be Aadhaar-seeded to facilitate scholarship-related transactions.
The department has cautioned applicants against submitting false or fabricated income certificates or other official documents. Any application found to contain fraudulent or fabricated documents will be cancelled, and necessary legal action may be initiated against the applicant.
Students have been advised to complete their applications well before the December 31 deadline and ensure that all details and supporting documents are accurate before submission.
