Mokokchung, 31st October (Nokinketer News): The Ao Senden, the apex body of the Ao community, has decided to continue its agitation over staffing issues at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung, despite the transfer and posting of a Radiologist to the hospital.
In a letter addressed to the Commissioner and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Nagaland, following the department’s notification dated October 30, 2026, the Ao Senden expressed appreciation for the transfer and posting of the Radiologist to IMDH, Mokokchung.
However, the organisation maintained that it would not call off the agitation until all its demands were fulfilled, citing what it described as the department’s insincere actions in the recent past.
The Ao Senden reiterated its demand for all doctors and nurses currently attached elsewhere to be reverted to IMDH, Mokokchung. It also demanded that all doctors and nurses transferred and posted to the hospital submit their joining reports without further delay.
The organisation stated that the agitation would be called off only after the attached medical personnel are reverted and all transferred and posted doctors and nurses report for duty at IMDH, Mokokchung.
