Wednesday, May 27, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Committee on Environment and Climate Change of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, led by Chairman Achumbemo Kikon, MLA, conducted a site visit to Pfutsero Town in Phek district on May 26 to review environmental management, developmental activities, and civic administration.

The committee inspected the Pfutsero Town Council dumping site and discussed the need for scientific waste management, sanitation, and sustainable environmental practices. Members also visited the Mountain Radar System site at Glory Peak and interacted with representatives of local organisations.

An interaction meeting was later held with Pfutsero Town Councillors, where civic and environmental concerns were discussed. The committee appreciated the efforts of the town council and encouraged continued cooperation to promote sustainable development.
