Saturday, June 27, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Nagaland Judo Association (NJA) successfully conducted the 2nd Judo Ranking Event at Eden Academy on June 27, with the participation of 156 judokas from across the state.

The event aimed to assess athletes’ technical skills, monitor their progress, and provide opportunities for promotion to higher belt levels through a standardized ranking assessment. Judokas from various belt categories took part, reflecting the growing popularity of the sport in Nagaland.

Throughout the event, participants displayed discipline, determination, and sportsmanship while undergoing technical evaluations conducted by qualified NJA officials and instructors.

The Association thanked Eden Academy for providing the venue and acknowledged the support of coaches, officials, volunteers, parents, and well-wishers for ensuring the smooth conduct of the program.

Reaffirming its commitment to the development of judo at the grassroots level, the NJA stated that regular ranking events help identify talent, encourage continuous improvement, and prepare athletes for district, state, and national competitions.

The Association said the successful completion of the 2nd Judo Ranking Event marks another milestone in its efforts to strengthen judo in Nagaland and inspire more young people to take up the sport.
