Friday, 24th July 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Nagaland, will organise a State-wide Child Aadhaar Enrolment Camp for children aged 0–5 years from August 3 to 14, 2026, in compliance with the directive issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

According to a press release, the enrolment camps will be held at the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Kohima, as well as District Economics and Statistics Offices (DESOs) across the State.

The initiative aims to facilitate Aadhaar-linked birth registration for children aged 0–5 years, ensuring that every child is registered at birth and linked with Aadhaar. The department said early enrolment into the national identity system will help ensure children’s inclusion in various government services and welfare schemes, while also supporting better planning and implementation of child-centric programmes.

The Directorate has appealed to parents and legal guardians of eligible children to take advantage of the enrolment drive by visiting the designated centres at the Directorate in Kohima or their respective District Economics and Statistics Offices during the camp period.
