
Nagaland, 4th August 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Department of Higher Education, Nagaland, has invited applications for registration under the Nagaland Government Ex-Gratia Scheme for Students Studying Outside Nagaland (NGESSO) for the academic session 2026–2027.
The scheme provides an ex-gratia assistance of ₹5 lakh to the family of an indigenous Naga student from Nagaland in the unfortunate event of the student’s death while pursuing studies outside the state.
According to the department, indigenous Naga students studying in different parts of the country must register with the Directorate of Higher Education to avail the benefits of the scheme.
Registration forms for both fresh applicants and renewals, along with detailed guidelines, are available for download from the Directorate of Higher Education’s official website.
The department informed that the last date for submission of registration forms is September 30, 2026. Eligible students have been advised to complete the registration process within the stipulated deadline.
