Kohima, September 5, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India, is organising the School, State and National-Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2026.
The State-Level competition in Nagaland will be conducted in two groups—Group A for Classes V, VI and VII, and Group B for Classes VIII, IX and X. The themes are “Save Energy at School and Home” for Group A and “Energy Conservation is the Key to Energy Security” for Group B.
Schools have been asked to conduct the competition and select the top two paintings from each group for submission to the State Nodal Officer by October 27, 2026, along with the required details of the participating students.
The State-Level competition will feature 50 selected students from each group and will be held between November 14 and 21, 2026. The top three winners from each group will qualify for the National-Level Competition, scheduled for December 11, 2026.
At the State Level, the first, second and third prize winners in each group will receive Rs. 50,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000, respectively. Ten appreciation prizes of Rs. 7,500 each will also be awarded in each group.
At the National Level, the first, second and third position holders will receive Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000, respectively, along with laptops and medals. Appreciation prize winners will receive Rs. 15,000 each and tablets.
