Kohima, 10th September 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), will conduct the third quarterly National Lok Adalat of 2026 at all district headquarters across the state on September 12.
The District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) will set up 11 Lok Adalat benches at district court premises to facilitate the settlement of cases through an alternative dispute resolution mechanism.
Lok Adalat provides a forum for speedy and amicable settlement of cases pending before courts as well as disputes at the pre-litigation stage. The National Lok Adalat is held quarterly and enables citizens to resolve disputes free of cost through mutual settlement or compromise.
The NSLSA has invited persons having civil, matrimonial, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) and petty offence cases, whether pending before courts or at the pre-litigation stage, to approach the Lok Adalat.
Disputants may appear before the Lok Adalat on September 12 or submit their cases in advance at the front offices of the respective DLSAs at district court buildings. Cases may also be submitted at the NSLSA Member Secretary’s office at the DC Office Complex, Kohima.

The disposal data from the respective DLSAs will subsequently be uploaded on the State Legal Services Authority’s web portal.
During the second quarterly National Lok Adalat held on May 9, a total of 402 cases were taken up, of which 220 were disposed of, involving a total settlement amount of ₹3.66 crore.
