Watsü Mungdang condemns alleged assault on minor, demands swift justice

Mokokchung, 1^st June 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Watsü Mungdang has issued a strong condemnation of the alleged sexual assault of a minor in Dimapur, describing the act as a grave violation of human rights and an assault on societal morals.

In a statement released on 31^st May 2026, the organization expressed its utmost outrage over the incident, which it said “shakes the conscience of society” and creates fear and insecurity among women and children.

The Watsü Mungdang firmly stated its solidarity with the victim and called upon law enforcement authorities to ensure that all individuals involved are brought before the law. The organization demanded that justice be delivered “without fear, favour or influence” and urged that the investigation be expanded immediately.
