Mangkolemba, July 23, 2026 (Nokinketer News): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Mangkolemba, has prohibited the movement of heavy vehicles along the Jangpetkong Range Road and Japukong Range Road with immediate effect following extensive damage caused by incessant rainfall.

According to an order issued by ADC Moakumzuk Tzudir, the recent heavy rainfall has severely damaged the road infrastructure in Mangkolemba subdivision, posing a significant threat to commuter safety. The order stated that the continued movement of heavy vehicles could further worsen road subsidence and endanger human lives.

While the movement of Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) and Medium Motor Vehicles (MMVs) has been permitted, the movement of Heavy Vehicles (HVs) on the two roads has been prohibited until further orders.

The district administration said the restriction has been imposed in the interest of public safety and to facilitate uninterrupted road restoration works. It also called for strict compliance with the order.
