Tuli, 11th May, 2026 (Nokinketer News): A meeting on the Foothill Road project and the proposed extension of the road beyond the existing 10-metre Right of Way (ROW) was held on Monday at Dobashis Court, Tuli Sub-division, Mokokchung.
The meeting was convened following directives from the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung. Attendees included representatives of the Tuli Area Foothill Road Land Owners Association, Village Council Chairmen and Secretaries from Kangtsung, Kangtsungyimsen, Wameken, Wamekenyimsen, and Anaki, along with other stakeholders from the Tuli Sub-division.
Discussions focused on the ongoing Foothill Road project, with special attention to proposals for extending and widening the road corridor beyond the existing 10-metre ROW. Landowners and village representatives raised various concerns and suggestions aimed at ensuring the smooth implementation of the project.
The meeting concluded with assurances that continued consultations with stakeholders would be carried out in the interest of public welfare and infrastructural development.
